Ordering, Prices and Label MOQ

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for labels?
It depends on the product. For example, woven labels start at 1,000 pieces. Hologram stickers usually start somewhere between 1,000 and 5,000 pieces, depending on the type. For other products, we state the exact minimum in your quote, since it depends on the material and print method.
How do I place an order?
The easiest way is our quote form: enter the product, size and quantity, then upload your logo. You can also message us on WhatsApp, call, or email [email protected]. Once you accept the quote and approve the proof, we start production.
What affects the price?
The main factors are quantity, material, size, number of colors and finishing. For example, lamination, embossing or metallic thread raise the cost. On the other hand, the unit price drops as quantity grows, because we spread setup costs across the whole run. Our guide to custom label cost explains this in detail.
Can I combine several designs in one order?
Yes, we accept several styles or sizes in one order. For example, a clothing brand can order woven labels, care labels and hang tags together. For woven labels, we agree in the quote how to split the 1,000-piece MOQ across designs. See our clothing labels page for the full kit.
Are reorders easier?
Yes. We already have your approved artwork, so there's no design stage. Just send the previous order details and the new quantity. If you contact us before your stock runs out, we can schedule the new batch without disrupting your production.

Materials and Quality

What materials do you use for care labels?
We offer two main materials: nylon taffeta (known locally as “Japanese akmaz”) and satin (“English satin”). Taffeta looks a bit like paper but stands up to heat, water and detergents. Satin, by contrast, is soft and flexible, so it feels better on garments worn next to the skin. See our care labels page for details.
Should I pick a woven or a printed label?
On a woven label, the threads themselves form the design, so it won't wash out and looks premium. A printed satin tape, by contrast, suits fine detail and long text. Our comparison of woven vs satin labels helps you choose.
What types of leather labels do you make?
We make labels from genuine leather, faux leather, jacron and rubber (PVC). For genuine leather, we use tanned, natural and dyed hides. On faux leather and jacron, we apply the design by hot stamping. Rubber labels, meanwhile, come on a colored or clear base. Compare the options on our leather labels page.
Which board should I choose for hang tags?
Most brands choose 350gsm board with matte lamination: it's sturdy and takes double-sided print. For a premium collection, however, 700gsm board works better and can carry embossing. We punch a 3 mm or 5 mm hole at the top for a string or a tag pin. See all options on our hang tags page.
Will the labels survive washing?
Yes, for clothing we choose wash-resistant materials. Woven labels and satin care labels withstand regular home laundering. However, results also depend on the wash cycle. So before a large run, we recommend a test wash on a few samples.

Artwork and Label File Formats

Which file formats do you accept?
For label artwork, vector files work best: AI, PDF, EPS or SVG formats, with fonts converted to outlines. We also accept CDR, PSD, TIFF, PNG and JPG. Raster images should be at least 300 dpi at the label's actual size. You can attach one file of up to 15 MB, or a ZIP archive, to the form. We use your files only for the quote and the order, as our privacy policy explains.
I don't have artwork. Can you help with design?
Yes, design advice is free. Send your logo and text, and we'll adapt them to the label size and technology. If you need a full design from scratch, we list its cost separately in the quote.
Can I see a proof before production?
Yes. Before every order, we send a full-size digital proof. You check the text, colors and dimensions, and we make any changes. We start production only after your written approval, so please read the proof carefully.
Can you match Pantone colors exactly?
Put the Pantone code in your request, since it's the most reliable way to communicate color. For woven labels, we pick the closest thread shade. In print, we also get as close to the reference as possible. However, material and print method affect the shade. That's why we can't guarantee a 100% match.
What margins and bleed does my artwork need?
For printed labels, add 2–3 mm of bleed beyond the cut line. Keep important text at least 2 mm from the edge. On woven labels, letters should be at least 2 mm tall. Otherwise, text may not read clearly. Our label artwork guidelines cover every rule.

Production and Label Lead Times

How long does production take?
Label lead times depend on the product. For example, woven labels take about 10–15 business days after proof approval. Hologram stickers are usually ready in 10–12 days. For other products, we estimate the time from the quantity and finishing, then give a firm date in the quote.
Can you handle rush orders?
Sometimes, but it depends on the product and our current workload. Always state your deadline in the request, and we'll check realistic options up front. As a rule, products with simple finishing come out faster than complex ones.
Can I get a sample?
You can see material samples at our office if you call ahead. Physical samples for your order depend on the product, so we confirm the option and timing in the quote. A digital proof, meanwhile, is a standard step in every order.
Where do you make the labels?
We take the order, prepare the design and hand over finished goods at our Baku office. However, we produce some label types at partner factories in Türkiye. That's why your quote states a clear lead time for each label order.
What if there's a problem with my finished order?
Check the quantity and quality when you collect the labels. If you spot a problem, message us right away with a photo or a sample. Then we compare the labels with the approved proof, find the cause and agree on a solution with you.

Delivery and Payment

How can I pay?
We list payment methods and terms, such as whether a prepayment applies, in the quote. That way, you know every condition before you confirm the order. If your company needs an invoice or a contract, mention it in your request.
Do you deliver outside Baku?
We usually hand over finished orders at our Baku office. If you need shipping to another city or country, add the address to your request. For export, also name your preferred Incoterm. We'll check the options and cost up front and list them separately in the quote. For customs paperwork, woven labels usually fall under HS 5807, but your broker confirms the final code.
Can you deliver within Baku?
You can collect your order from our office. If you need delivery within Baku, mention it in your request. In that case, we confirm availability and terms in the quote.
How do you pack finished labels?
We pack woven labels in bags and put a sticker with the piece count on each one. We also pack other products so they arrive undamaged. If you have special requirements, for example separate bags per style, note them in your request.
How can I check my order status?
You can sort out any order question on WhatsApp or by phone. Ask about the production stage or the handover date at any time. If the date shifts, we'll let you know ourselves.

Technical Questions

Does Etiket.az issue barcode numbers?
No. In Azerbaijan, GS1 Azerbaijan issues official EAN-13 numbers: your company joins the organization and receives them. We then print those numbers correctly on your barcode labels. Our guide on how to get a barcode in Azerbaijan walks you through the process.
Which laundry icons belong on a garment label?
Most labels use five basic symbols: washing, bleaching, drying, ironing and professional cleaning. The international GINETEX association manages this system. Our article care label symbols explained covers each icon. For fiber content, see clothing label requirements.
Will roll labels fit my applicator?
Yes, if you give us your equipment specs in the request. We need the core size, maximum outer diameter and unwind direction. If you don't have them at hand, send the applicator model or a photo of an old roll. More details are on our roll labels page.
How does a VOID label show tampering?
When someone tries to peel off a VOID security label, the top layer lifts away. It leaves “VOID” text or a pattern on the surface. Also, the label can't go back in place. As a result, you can see at once if someone opened the package or device. Read more in how VOID labels work.
What information goes on a food label?
Food labels usually show the product name, ingredients, net weight, storage conditions, shelf life and producer details. However, check the exact rules with Azerbaijan's Food Safety Agency (AQTA), because the producer is responsible for the text. Our article on food label requirements in Azerbaijan sums up the key points. For printing, see our food labels page.
