Custom Leather Labels and Patches

Leather labels give jeans, bags and jackets a premium look that lasts for years. Since 2014, Etiket.az has made genuine leather, faux leather and PVC labels in Baku for apparel brands. We apply your logo by debossing or printing, then cut each label to shape.

Genuine vs faux leather labels

For genuine leather labels, we use tanned animal hide. We work with natural and dyed leathers, and both take print in any color. Faux leather labels, by contrast, have a synthetic base, and we heat-stamp the logo onto it. The European leather confederation COTANCE explains how tanners turn hides and skins into leather.

Rubber PVC patches

A rubber patch is a flexible emblem molded from soft PVC, so it stands up to water, abrasion and frequent washing. In addition, we can make it on any colored base or fully transparent. On PVC, the logo can have raised relief and several colors, and we match them to the Pantone system.

How we apply logos to leather labels

We choose the technique by material and design, because each gives a different effect:

• Debossing: a heated die presses the logo into the leather for a classic look.
• Embossing (on request): the logo rises above the surface, so you can feel the relief.
• Foil stamping (on request): gold or silver foil makes the logo shine.
• Color printing: best for multicolor, detailed logos.
• Laser engraving (on request): a laser burns the top layer for a high-contrast mark.

Shapes, sizes and attachment

We cut leather labels as rectangles, ovals, circles or along your logo outline. For example, jeans usually carry a larger label on the back waistband, while caps take a smaller one. Brands usually sew them along the edges or fix them with metal rivets. On bags, makers often combine both methods.

Care and durability of leather labels

Each material reacts differently to washing. For example, PVC handles water and detergents best. Faux leather survives normal washing, but high heat can crack it over time. Genuine leather, however, can shrink and darken in hot water, so a low-temperature wash is safer.
