Why cosmetic labels need special materials
Customers handle bottles with wet or oily hands, keep them in the bathroom and carry them in bags. As a result, paper labels swell, edges lift and text rubs off. Therefore, we print cosmetic labels on film with a strong adhesive and protective lamination. The stock must also suit the container: a squeeze tube needs flexible film, while glass takes a rigid one.

We do not rule out paper, because it is attractive and cost-effective for dry products and boxes. However, if the label will meet water or oil, film and lamination give a more reliable result.
Clear, metallic and soft-touch finishes
Clear labels show off the product color through glass or a clear container. To keep colors from looking washed out, the artwork needs a white underlay. Metallic film and foil add a premium feel, while soft-touch lamination gives a velvety surface. Spot UV and embossing also highlight the logo. We use your Pantone codes as the color reference.
Cosmetic labels for tubes, jars and bottles
- Tubes: flexible PE film does not wrinkle when squeezed.
- Cream jars: a side label plus a round lid label.
- Bottles: front and back labels for shampoo and lotion.
- Dropper bottles: narrow, tall labels for serums and oils.
Small containers leave little room, so plan the text early. For example, we advise keeping the ingredient list (INCI) at 6 pt or larger. Also, for tapered or oval containers, test the label shape with a paper mock-up first.

Yes, film-based cosmetic labels are waterproof. With lamination, polypropylene or PE keeps its look in the shower and under oily fingers. Paper labels, by contrast, suit only dry products. Tell us where customers will use the product, and we will choose the stock.
Where do clear labels look best?
Clear labels work best on glass, clear PET and containers that show the product color. They create a no-label look, as if you had printed the design straight onto the bottle. On dark containers, however, the text needs a white underlay to stay legible.

What information goes on a cosmetic label?
It typically lists the product name and function, nominal content, ingredients (INCI), directions, warnings, batch number, expiry date or period after opening (PAO) and the responsible person. For export to the EU, the EU cosmetics rules are a useful reference. For Azerbaijan, confirm current requirements with the relevant authority.
Will the label resist alcohol in perfume?
Because perfume contains alcohol, we protect the print with lamination or a special varnish. Still, the most reliable test uses your own product: put a few drops on the label and rub. We can discuss sample labels for such a test on request.
