What are hologram stickers?

The base of a hologram sticker is a metallized film. Its microscopic relief reflects light at different angles, so color and depth shift as you tilt it. An adhesive backing holds it on packaging, devices or documents.

An ordinary color printer cannot reproduce this effect. That is why manufacturers have used holograms as a mark of authenticity for decades. Hologram stickers also work well alongside other product labels on your packaging.

Custom hologram stickers with your logo

A standard hologram works like a regular sticker: an adhesive back and a holographic effect across the whole surface. We print your logo over a stock holographic background. It is the most budget-friendly option.

Keep in mind, however, that a standard hologram does not fully protect against counterfeiting. It works mainly on appearance. If protection is your main goal, choose a security hologram or a custom-design hologram.

Security holograms and VOID labels

A security hologram shows your customer that nobody opened the package before them. It has two layers: when someone peels it, the top layer lifts while the bottom one stays on the surface. A diamond pattern or dense "VOID" text appears, and the sticker cannot go back on.

Numbered holograms

Each numbered hologram carries a unique number, applied sequentially or at random. As a result, it becomes easier to trace batches, register warranties and spot fakes. Ask us about pairing the number with a QR code.

Shapes, sizes and finishes

Standard shapes are round, square and rectangular, and a custom die-cut allows oval or logo-shaped holograms. We size each sticker to the packaging surface: a small circle suits a bottle cap, while a long strip works across a carton opening.

How anti-counterfeit features work

A hologram protects in several ways that reinforce each other:

• Optical effect: color shifts vanish on a photocopy.
• Tamper evidence: peeling leaves a visible mark.
• Numbering: a unique number traces each batch.
• Extra features: we confirm options like microtext on request.

For related standards such as ISO 22383 and ISO 17901, see the International Optical Technologies Association (IOTA). That said, no sticker offers absolute protection. Best results come from combining holograms with numbering and stock control.
